10 Cough Home remedies


There is no need to run out at the drug store or pharmacy when hitting that annoying cough. There are many cough remedies that have stood the test of time and demonstrated their effectiveness over many generations. Often you can soothe your throat raw and stop the cough with things you already have in your home or can easily buy from your local market. Besides being easy and effective, you can feel good about the fact that you're using something natural. Here are 10 great cough remedies you can do at home to stop that coughs and get the relief you need. Note: many of these home remedies contain honey. Honey should not be administered to children under one year of age, as there is a rare occasion you could contract botulism.



1. Honey-Lime-water: combine a cup of honey, 1/4 cup hot water and lemon juice 3 tbsp. Take 2 teaspoons a day. Honey helps to soothe coughs and lemon is particularly effective in the treatment of infections of the throat.



2. Ginger tea: add a couple of small pieces of ginger to boil the water before adding the tea bag. Ginger is a very effective cough suppressant.

8. Onion: crush a medium sized onion and mix with the juice of a lemon. Then pour a cup of boiling water on it. A teaspoon of honey can be added to improve the taste. Take this two or three times per day. Onion helps remove the phlegm.



9. carrot juice: mix the carrot juice with honey and a little warm water. Take a tablespoon full multiple times per day. Carrot juice helps lubricate throat that detracts from the Tickle in a dry cough.



: 10. Garlic one clove of garlic grated and mixed with one teaspoon of honey. Take as needed. Garlic is a great antioxidant and helps control coughing as well.
