Cough and cold usually go hand in hand. Both are very common and affect men, women and children. People with low immunity may suffer these often.
Cough is a reflex action of the body to throw out anybody outside of particles or dust that enters the airway. Is a sudden violent expulsion of air from the lungs. It is a defense mechanism that keeps the throat and air passages clear any irritating. It can be dry or productive type. In the case of productive type, there is excessive mucus or phlegm.
Cold is also an upper respiratory tract infection. Is the presence of the infection that causes nasal congestion, and sneezing. Many types of viruses may be responsible for it. The body is not able to build up enough strength to everyone, so cold and cough is a very common event.
Seasonal changes can lead to symptoms of both. It is also activated by smoke, pollution or certain allergies. Asthma sufferers are more prone to it.
Symptoms are runny nose, or itchy nose, sneezing, sore throat, congestion, difficulty breathing, dizziness, headaches, body aches and loss of appetite. The extra mucus due to infection may cause congestion.
Persistent cough and cold can be treated with many types of available syrup. The different types of drugs available are cough syrups, suppressors for cough, decongestant, etc. Most often these drugs make one feel drowsy and sleepy, thus making it difficult to perform normal activities during the day.
Home remedies are a sure way to prevent or treat both coughs and colds. Some of the remedies are indicated below
1. Ginger: Grate a little piece of ginger and squeeze the juice properly. Mix one tablespoon of this juice with honey and take on a regular basis. This is a very effective home remedy for coughs and colds.
2. Garlic: Garlic can be eaten raw or in soup form. Garlic reduces the severity of the cold.
3. Tea: tea made from Ginger is too profitable.
4. Turmeric: Add a pinch of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk and drinking this before going to bed. This soothes the throat and cold and cough relief form.
5. Soup: Soups are easy to swallow and provide soothing relief.
6. Honey: a spoonful of honey taken regularly is very useful for these conditions.
7. Vitamin c: vitamin c helps build immunity and reduces the possibility of acquisition of nasal congestion.
8. Gargle, gargle with salt water is very good for the throat.
9. water: Water is essential to thin down the mucus present. Mucus is often difficult to expel from the body.
10. Steam inhalation: boil water and place the pot head above the water at a safe distance. Inhale the steam. Steam provides moisture and then gives relief.
11. keep warm: Finally Get hotter and avoid being exposed to cold temperature or conditions of the AC. Keep your chest and throat area warm.
Avoid cold beverages and food. Don't stay in dry conditions. Blow your nose in a right way to throw out the infected mucus, do not smell again. Take ample rest and increase your immunity to these diseases.
